Assisted Accommodation
.jpg)
SABDA has a community-based house for 7 men and women whose symptoms
have stabilised. Residents are involved in running their home and have
allocated duties, including preparing, cooking and serving the evening
meal.
Some of the residents go out to work and have their own transport.
Applicants are required to provide SABDA with up to date reports from
relevant Mental Health Care Practitioners.
Sheila Lahoud, who is a Carer herself, manages the house and lives
in an adjoining flat.
For more information, contact Sheila on 011 886 0560.
Community Education and Information Sharing
Our committee and members give talks, participate in workshops and meet
with members of the community (business, schools, groups or individuals)
requiring information or wanting to become involved in mental health projects.
